In contrast to the guitar arrangement by J.K.Mertz, this edition by Walter Abt strictly adheres to the authentic
manuscript of Franz Schubert's "Leise flehen meine Lieder". Both the key and the three-part song form
with finale have been taken into account in this edition in the original. In 1840 Franz Liszt wrote a
solo arrangement for piano. This was adapted from the guitar arrangement.
